"The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.1 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 16 degrees Celsius, both a notch above normal," a MeT official said.

The humidity levels oscillated between 81 and 42 per cent.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy morning for Saturday with possibility of mist.

"The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 31.1 degrees Celsius later in the day," the official said.

The minimum temperature had settled at 16 degrees Celsius on Thursday in the national capital as well.
