James Corden's latest guest for "Carpool Karaoke" is the one and only Barbra Streisand who, despite suffering through a few decades of stage fright, is bringing it up old school with her song selections in this preview for tonight's episode of The Late Late Show.

After picking Corden up from the side of the road after his car has been booted for unpaid tickets, Streisand admits that she's had to retake her driving test a few times recently because she was unable to pass her renewal test. Whoops! Corden seems nervous at first, but then he realizes that if he's gotta go out, death by Streisand is probably not a bad way to do so.

Streisand appears on the show to promote her latest album, Walls, which is meant to be a rebuke of the current political climate under Donald Trump's administration. "All I can do is write about it," she says. "Every song relates to something about what's going on with these difficult times ... People deserve the truth." However, the bulk of her mobile musicianship in the segment is devoted to the tunes she belted out 50 years ago in her Oscar-winning Funny Girl role: "Enough is Enough," "The Way We Were," and "Don't Rain On My Parade." It's been a while, but she's still got it.

Corden also gets the legendary singer-actress to talk about her long hiatus from live performances, and she admits she's still not hot on the idea of performing live in front of an audience. "I don't get nervous nervous, but I don't enjoy it," she explained. "I get scared. I just don't want to disappoint people."

Last but not least is a discussion about her apparent lack of self-importance, despite all the fandemonium that greets her at every turn. Streisand claims she doesn't think she's a big deal, but she also has to admit that she's enjoyed the perks of it all the same, like the time she dialed up Steve Jobs to complain about a computing glitch or when she asked Tim Cook to personally ensure Siri pronounced her name correctly.
