WWE Crown Jewel Results: Brock Lesnar beat Braun Strowman to win the Universal Championship ( Source: WWE)

WWE Crown Jewel resulted in a strange event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Brock Lesnar beat Braun Strowman to win the Universal Championship while Shane McMahon won the World Cup. In WWE’s second-ever event in the country, Lesnar was helped by Baron Corbin who hit the Monster Among Men with the title belt right at the start of the match to wrest the advantage with the Beast. Lesnar then hit five F5’s to slay the monster and win the fight. However, the most strange result of the day was Shane O’Mac winning the World Cup. Shane inserted himself in the match after The Miz (who qualified for the finals) was injured midway in the finals against Dolph Ziggler. McMahon hit coast to coast to secure the win for SmackDown. In the main event of the evening, DX (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) beat The Brothers of Destruction (The Undertaker and Kane).

In a match where The Undertaker and Kane dominated for the most part of the match, it was Michaels who roll back the years and turned the tide in his team’s favour with a stunning moonsault. Towards the end, a rake to the eye to the Big Red Monster helped Triple H hit Kane with a pedigree and pick up the victory. However, the most embarrassing moment of the match was after Kane’s mask came off and Kayfabe could not be more broken.

Elsewhere, AJ Styles beat Samoe Joe to retain his title while SmackDown Tag team champions- The Bar defended their title after trouncing The New Day.
