Toyota Unveils Camry And Highlander Nightshade Special Editions

Toyota has applied the black treatment to the Camry and Highlander for the 2019MY, in the form of a special edition called Nightshade.

Both of them build upon the SE grade and will be presented to the public at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, later this month, before going on sale next year. The 2019 Toyota Camry Nightshade Special Edition will be available in three colors, called Midnight Black Metallic, Celestial Silver and Super White.

Its exterior is contrasted by the blacked-out accents on the side mirror caps, window molding and door handles, joined by the black exterior Toyota emblems, spoiler, shark fin antenna and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Offered in a limited run of 5,000 units, the 2019 Toyota Highlander Nightshade Special Edition will come with four exterior color choices. Regardless if it’s finished in Midnight Black Metallic, Predawn Gray Mica, Salsa Red Pearl or Blizzard Pearl, all units benefit from the same black accents as the special edition Camry.

Features include the black rear spoiler, door handles, mirror casings, shark fin antenna, headlights and fog lamps, and 19-inch wheels with black lug nuts. Completing the list of exterior updates are the blacked-out Toyota emblems.

The two models follow in the footsteps of the 4Runner Nightshade announced last month, which gets similar black accents on the Limited spec and is available in Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Blizzard Pearl.

Pricing for the special edition Camry and Highlander will be announced in due course.
