Noted writer Kottapalle duped for Rs 1L

Pune: Noted Marathi writer and educationist Nagnath Kottapalle (70) was duped by online fraudsters to the tune of Rs 1 lakh. The accused persons pretended to be from IRDA and offered high returns on investment in a company. 

After realising he had been duped, Kottapalle lodged an FIR with Sangvi police station. According to the police, the incident took place between September 24 and October 25. Kottapalle had deposited the amount in account numbers given by the accused persons who had been calling from different numbers. The police are investigating the case.

Kottapalle had been president of the prestigious Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan.
