Minister for Finance and Civil Supplies Eatala Rajender has said that the completion of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project (KLIP) would completely transform the integrated Karimnagar district into a fertile district.
The Minister participated in the TRS party workers meeting in Manthani town and also campaigned for the party candidate Putta Madhukar on Friday. He said that the integrated Karimnagar district would be first provided with the KLIP waters before lifting it to other parts of the State, adding that the government was taking all measures for the utilisation of surplus Godavari waters and also construction of check dams across the river Manair.
Listing out various welfare schemes launched by the TRS government, he said that the TRS was planning to provide ₹5 lakh accidental insurance coverage to all the eligible people very soon. He said they would soon provide drinking water tap connections to each and every household in the State, as well. Advisor to State government and former MP G. Vivekanand and others were also present.
