Farmer attempts suicide

Jitesh Dudhagra has been admitted to GG HospitalRajkot: Crop failure drove a farmer to attempt suicide at his farm in Vagadia village of Jamnagar taluka on Friday.
Police said the farmer, identified as Jitesh Dudhagra (45), had been suffering from depression ever since his cotton crop had failed. He consumed insecticide to end his life.
“After he consumed insecticide, Dudhagra was taken to GG Hospital in Jamnagar where his condition is stated to be critical,” sub-inspector of Panchkoshi police station N B Dabhi said.
