Easy Wanderlings, a Pune-based soul band, will donate 30 per cent of its income from a concert on November 3 for flood relief in Nagaland. The eight-member band will be performing songs from their latest album, ‘As written in the Stars’, at the 90-minute show to be held at the CV Raman Auditorium, IISER at 7.30 pm on Saturday.
“Thirty per cent of the income will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for Nagaland’s flood relief. We want to give back and help as much as we can,” said Sanyanth, one of the vocalists.
The band, which was formed in 2015 and has performed at festivals like NH7 Weekender, wants to give back by contributing some of their income to Nagaland’s flood relief.
“Our music caters to a wide range of audience. We hope for this to be an occasion for families, children, grandparents, everyone, and since our music is easygoing soul stuff, everyone can enjoy it. Usually, such music events take place in bars where people don’t really enjoy them,” added Sanyanth.
A series of landslides and flash floods during this monsoon have damaged the roads in multiple locations in Nagaland, affected agriculture and rendered many people homeless.
