Two more H1N1 patients die in Madurai’s Government Rajaji Hospital

MADURAI: Two people who tested positive for H1N1 died in Government Rajaji Hospital in the last 24 hours taking the number of H1N1 deaths in the hospital to six in the last one month.
The number of fever cases coming to Government Rajaji Hospital has been on the rise in the past few weeks.
Mandiramoorthy,45, of Sundarajanpatti, who was admitted to hospital a few days ago and tested positive for H1N1, died late on Thursday night.
Allimalar S, 35, of Attukulam in Melur, who was admitted to hospital with symptoms of H1NI, died on Friday morning.
Three people are undergoing treatment for H1N1 in the hospital. Another two patients are undergoing treatment for dengue and were said to be responding well to medications.
Dean of the Government Rajaji Hospital Dr D Marudhupandian said 102 patients, including those in the paediatric section, were being treated for fever.
