Dhanush starrer Maari 2 will hit screens in December 2018.

Dhanush, who is still basking in the success of Vada Chennai, will reprise his role as the cocky but likeable slum lord in the sequel and will also be producing the film under his banner Wunderbar Films.
Director Balaji Mohan and Dhanush, who worked together in Maari, are joining hands once again for Maari 2. While actors Robo Shankar and Kalloori Vinooth will continue to play Dhanush’s sidekicks in the gangster comedy, Premam fame Sai Pallavi will be joining the cast as the lead heroine, along with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Krishna and Tovino Thomas who will be seen in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the background score and music for the film.
