Vilner Transformed The Cockpits Of These Mustangs With High-End Materials

The whole idea behind a pony car like the Ford Mustang is to provide a sports car at an accessible price.

Τo keep pricing low, however, it needs to cut some corners – and one of them is the use of lower-end materials than you might find in other performance sports cars.

So, two customers evidently enamored of Dearborn’s signature model, but not its interior treatment, turned to Vilner to have the cabin of their Mustangs reupholstered.

Both are GT convertibles in blue, complete with the 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8. However, the interiors specified from the Vilner Garage are quite different.

One customer opted for a blue-accented black interior to match the outwards appearance, while the other went with black and red, accented by twin white racing stripes like those running over the bodywork.

Colors aside, both feature a combination of leather and Alcantara microsuede, stitched and fitted with the kind of painstaking attention to detail for which Vilner has become known. That extends to the steering wheel, complete with a center mark at 12 o’clock. And the results, as you can see from the photos below, look rather stunning.

“Personalizing a vehicle is not a rocket science when your budget is unlimited. But when it comes to x amount of resources, and that x is a small one… here is where the atelier’s art of imagination and craftsmanship becomes obvious,” said Atanas Vilner. “Of course, there is an obvious reason for us showing you two projects based on the same model, side by side. It’s a showcase of our different stages of personalization.”
