Firozabad cops nab 2 arms smuggler, 1 flees

AGRA: Two country-made weapon smugglers were caught on Wednesday night in a joint operation of crime branch and Shikohabad police of Firozabad district.
According to police, on an anonymous input, a team led by inspector Kuldeep Singh of crime branch along with SHO Shikohabad Lokesh Bhatti caught two men identified as Rakshapal Yadav and Satish Chandra Jaatav near FSI godown on Etah-Firozabad road, while the accused were coming towards Shikohabad on a motor-bike along with their associate Nityanand, who managed to escape.
SP Firozabad, Sachindra Patel said, “The smugglers were caught with 10 weapons, which they were carrying to sell in Shikohabad. During interrogation the duo claimed that they also ran an illegal arms factory and sold weapons at Rs 3000 a piece.”
On Wednesday, neighbouring district Etah’s Jaithra police busted an illegal arms factory and seized dozens of country-made weapon. Police also nabbed one person.
