A new feature has been added in WhatsApp beta version 2.18.335 for Android, where it allows users to chat privately in the group. The feature has been in testing period from quite some time, but now it’s beta version is all set to roll out. The ability to reply to chats privately in a group has been a widely-requested feature and looks like it will roll out to the stable build in the coming day.
How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups
The feature is currently only available on WhatsApp beta. Ensure that you are a beta tester of the app before proceeding.
Update to the latest version of WhatsApp beta, which is version number 2.18.335.
Following the update, enter any WhatsApp Group, highlight the chat of the person you want to reply privately.
On the top right corner of the app, users will see the option to ‘Reply privately’. Clicking the button will take users to the individual chat.
Thus, WhatsApp users can reply privately to chats on WhatsApp Groups.
