The Punjab State Power Corporation officials (PSPCL) have decided not to accept to Diwali gifts this time. The officials take pledge and follow the footsteps of Chairman of PSPCL. The officials of PSPCL Ludhiana and central zone have decided to not to accept Diwali gifts as their Chairman had already announced to maintain distance from Diwlai gifts. Few days ago, Chairman of PSPCL Baldev Singh Sran has expressed that he will not accept any Diwali gift. During his tenure, he had never accepted Diwali gift from colleagues or anyone else. This year also, he will continue the same practice.Following the footsteps of Chairman, Chief Engineer central Zone and several other officials of Ludhiana have also decided to not to accept Diwali gifts. Chief Engineer Paramjit Singh, PSPCL officials Yadwinderpal, BS Lakha, Kulbir Singh , Mandeep Singh, Rajwinder Singh and Balwant kumar held a meeting and take pledge to maintain distance form Diwali gifts. The officials said that they were in service to serve the people but sometime the people presented Diwali gifts with intention to get favor in official work. They said that there is no space for gifts in cash or kind against the service for the people. They will perform their duty with honesty and dedication.
