Youth held for raping former classmate

Representative ImageGURUGRAM: A Class XII student has lodged a police complaint against a former classmate, accusing him of raping and blackmailing her. Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in the case. He was produced in a city court on Thursday and sent to one-day police remand.
The 18-year-old girl has claimed that the accused first raped her in May and then started blackmailing her with some objectionable photos that he had taken on his mobile phone. He raped her again in his house on Wednesday, which finally made her approach police. According to the girl, the accused used to be her friend when she was in Class X. In May, he allegedly called her to his house and raped her. At the time, he also clicked some pictures with which he started to blackmail her.
In her complaint, the girl said, “He called me to his home on Wednesday to delete the pictures. Trying to resolve the problem, I went to his home but he raped me again.” An FIR has been registered against Sandeep under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC at the Sector 29 police station.
