Ujjain: On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Bharatiya Janata Party organised a Run for Unity programme under the leadership of Vivek Joshi. At north constituency marathon began at 8 am from Ksheersagar under direction of Paras Jain and traced Kanthal, Satigate and concluded at Gopal Mandir. A programme was also held at south constituency under guidance of Dr Mohan Yadav.
The run began from Teen Batti Square and concluded at Tower Chowk. Babulal Jain addressing the programme said India’s present status is the result of relentless efforts of Sardar Patel. Jagdish Agrawal, Pradeep Pandey and Sonu Gehlot were present in the programme.
Blood donation camp in the memory of indira gandhi
City Congress Seva Dal organised a blood donation camp on the occasion of Balidan Divas marked as death anniversary of Indira Gandhi and birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.A programme was held under guidance of president Arun Rochwani at Priyadarshani square, Freeganj. Women congress president Anju Jatwa inaugurated the programme with blood donation. Chandrabhan Singh Chandel, Mahesh Soni, Ravi Rai, Ajit Singh Thakur and Lalit Lulla were present in the programme.
National unity day celebrated
October 31 is being celebrated every year as National Unity Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. On the same day National Resolution Day is celebrated to remember former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. A programme was organised by the city administration at Brihaspati Bhavan to commemorate the occasion. Additional Collector Deepak Arya administered oath of national unity to the officials.
