Firefighters battling bushfire at Paddy's River
Firefighters are battling a bushfire at Paddy's River near Tuggeranong.
Crews were called to the scene at Laurel Camp Road about 5.45pm and 10 units are now fighting the blaze, which is roughly one hectare in size.
An ESA spokeswoman said the fire was in difficult conditions, where flames could spread into tree tops, but was being brought under control.
The fire danger rating is set at very high, she said.
Emergency services advised people to monitor the situation, keeping in mind embers may be blown ahead of the fire and spot fires can occur up to two kilometres ahead of a blaze.
More to come.
