Posters by suspected Maoists calling for poll boycott surface

Posters and banners purportedly written by the banned CPI (Maoists) asking locals to boycott the coming assembly elections surfaced in Jayashankar district, police said.

The posters criticised the policies of the TRS government.

"We believe the posters were put up by CPI (Maoists)," a said.

Police have so far seized around Rs 30 crore cash while the IT officialsRs 5 crore as part of intensified checks in view of the December 7 elections, another said.
