A year after giving birth to her son Arnold, former Biggest Loser trainer Tiffiny Hall is feeling more confident than ever.

But her fitness journey hasn't been easy, as she admitted this week she had difficulty losing the 30kg she gained during her pregnancy.

Tiffiny, 34, told Who magazine that she struggled with not being able to train in the months after welcoming Arnold.

'At that moment I'd never felt uglier': Tiffiny Hall has reflected on gaining 30kg after giving birth... and revealed what husband Ed Kavalee said to her that helped rebuild her confidence

'I gained 30 kilos during my pregnancy, and mentally it was a struggle not to be able to train,' she said. 'Then, when I had Arnold I slowly got back into training and I broke my ankle and then I broke my coccyx.'

These setbacks affected her self confidence, as she would look at photos of other women 'snapping back' after giving birth and feel bad about herself.

Fortunately, her husband Ed Kavalee helped her through this challenging period.

She said: 'I stood in the mirror in my underwear with my newborn son and I showed my husband and he said, "You look incredible. You have just given me a son".

'And it makes me a bit teary because at that moment I'd never felt uglier, more unfit, more weak, more emotional and, you know, all these feelings... for him to say that.'

It comes after Tiffiny shared a photo of herself to Instagram in August comparing her figure three weeks postpartum to how she looked 11 months later.

She explained in the caption that she used her own fitness program TIFFXO to get her body gently moving again and eventually lose over 30kg.

'I couldn't have done it without my daily home workouts next to [Arnold], meal plans with extra energy for breastfeeding, and of course the support of my incredible TIFFXO Facebook community,' she wrote.

'And whenever I'm lacking motivation I just think, "I'm doing this for you, little man".'
