Gomtinagar loot and murder: CM's deadline ends, cops fail to get breakthrough

LUCKNOW: The 24-hour deadline set by chief minister Yogi Adityanath to crack the loot and murder of gas agency cashier Shyam Singh ended on Wednesday morning but police failed to get any breakthrough.
The CM had given the deadline to SSP Kalanidhi Naithani.
Lucknow Police is still scanning CCTVs to identify the killers while the Special Task Force is trying to trace their location. But both have failedto get any breakthrough. Gas agency cashier Shyam Singh (45) was shot dead in broad daylight by two masked bike-borne assailants outside a bank in Gomtinagar on Monday morning. They had also looted his cash bag containing Rs 10 lakh. On Wednesday, SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said they have zeroed in on some gangs. "We are also checking the call records of mobiles which were active near the spot of the crime at the time of incident. Some criminals nabbed in loot cases are aslo being grilled," said Naithani.
Naithani said that were also looking for clues in two loots which took place in Amethi and Kannauj on Monday.
Meanwhile, three police teams have been sent to Barabanki, Amethi and Bahraich to look for clues.
