NEW DELHI: Here's something you don't get to see very often. A practice boxing session of sorts outside the ring. And that too between a five-time World champion and Olympic bronze medal winning boxer and the Sports Minister, who is also an Olympic silver medallist.

In what was a mock practice session of sorts, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, wearing punching mitts, was seen helping Mary Kom perfect some of her signature moves, while trying to catch her by surprise with a few quick mock punches of his own at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.


Mary on Thursday took to Twitter and shared the video from her handle, thanking Rathore for his support. Mary tweeted to say "Seeing is believing. Thank you Hon’ble @Ra_THORe ji for all the support and encouragement. #PunchMeinHainDum @BFI_official @Media_SAI @IndiaSports,”





Mary, the London Olympic bronze medallist is preparing for the Women's Boxing World Championships, to be held from November 15 to 24 in the capital.
