Woman stabbed repeatedly taking out rubbish bins in north Queensland
A woman has been repeatedly stabbed while wheeling out her rubbish bins in north Queensland, in what police have described as a "random" attack.
Police said the 35-year-old victim was attacked by a man about 9.20pm on Wednesday outside her Latchford Street home in Townsville.
She was stabbed multiple times in the arms and chest and was taken to Townsville Base Hospital in a serious condition.
Officers found and arrested a man a short time later in a nearby park.
He was later charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and was due in Townsville Magistrates Court on Thursday.
