Bollywood designer returns to alma mater in Chandigarh

Bollywood fashion designer Mohammad Mazhar, an alumnus from an institute in Chandigarh, was back in Chandigarh on Thursday to participate in a show at his alma mater. Hailing from a humble background with his roots from a small city Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Mazhar has to his credit dressing up big Bollywood stars like Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar, Sana Khan, Kritika Kamra, TV artist Riddhi Dogra, superstar from South Samantha Prabhu among others. His exciting and challenging journey in the fashion industry started when he first showcased his collection Dhobi Ghat inspired by the idiosyncrasies of the labour class at Dhobi Ghat, as part of the Gen Next designers at a leading fashion week in 2018 at Mumbai.
