Ujjain: Routine business in Chimanganj Krishi Upaj Mandi resumed on Wednesday. Working in the Mandi was disrupted after a manhandling incident with a contractual mandi employee on Tuesday. After the incident, purchasing of crops and other transactions could not be held but on Wednesday, the routine business resumed and purchasing of crops from farmers also started under ‘Bhavantar’ scheme.
The mandi committee secretary said that a police complaint was registered and the Mandi director was informed about the matter. According to details, a dispute erupted between Mandi vice-president Sheru Patel and contractual employee Ashutosh Johare on Tuesday following which routine activities of the mandi was disrupted. The employee said that Patel manhandled him when he was taking his lunch. Reacting over the matter, Mandi secretary Rajesh Goyal said that he informed about the matter to Mandi director Faiz Ahmed Kidwai and purchase of crops under ‘Bhavantar’ scheme began in the morning.
