Giant Pops recalled over possible metal contamination
If your children received either of these lollipops for Halloween, throw them out.
The My Little Pony and Avengers Giant Pops present a health hazard as the products potentially contain metal, Food Standards Australia said.
The lollipops, made in China, were distributed by Park Avenue Foods and were available at Priceline stores around the country.
"Consumers should not eat these products and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund," Food Standards Australia said in the recall notice, first issued on October 29.
The recall comes after children around Australia celebrated Halloween by trick or treating in their streets on Wednesday night.
Even former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull got in on the fun, trick or treating with his family in Sydney's eastern suburbs.
Bronte resident Helen Watson said Halloween was a chance for children to get out and have fun together.
"It’s nice seeing all the kids out and about. Dressing up and having fun I suppose, lots of different ages," she said.
