Mann invites GK to join Bargari Morcha
TNN | Nov 1, 2018, 07:20 ISTJalandhar: At a time when Panthic religio-political sphere is already in a fluid state, SAD (Amritsar) president Simranjeet Singh Mann had a courtesy meeting between with Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Manjit Singh GK in Gurudwara Rakabganj Delhi on Wednesday. While Mann urged him to visit Bargari morcha, GK honoured him during the meeting.
For years, Mann has been holding a small function in the compound of Gurudwara Rakabganj on October 31, to pay tributes to late PM Indira Gandhi’s assassins Beant Singh and Satwant Singh. This year’s event was attended by SAD (Delhi) president Paramjit Singh Sarna.
After holding this meeting, Mann went to the office of DSGMC where GK was present. He thanked GK for cooperating for holding their function and also invited him to visit Bargari Morcha.
DSGMC president honoured Mann and also gifted him two books, including biography of his late father Jathedar Santoklh Singh. “I told Mann that I respect his dedication and service to the Sikh community even though I have different political ideology,” GK said. “We have been providing space to the people from different ideologies,” he added.
