Heart-stopping moment puppy cheats death under the wheels of an express train as it doggedly crawls along the gap between the tracks in India

A dog had a brush with death after it got trapped under the running train and in between the rails in Aurangabad in Maharashtra, India.

The helpless canine got trapped under the train while it was sleeping in between the tracks as the carriages of the train hurled over it unalarmed.

Woken up by the sound of the train passing over it, the dog couldn't help much but preferred to crawl in between the trapped space.

In the video, the dog can be seen walking under the train while already staying low in order to avoid being hit as the carriages continued rolling over the animal at speed.

It continues crawling in between the tracks in a hope to go towards the end of the carriages in order to come out of the trapped situation.

Soon after the train sped away, the terrified dog stepped out of the tracks.

The local station officers said that it was common for the stray dogs to be caught near there as they do not understand the threat that sleeping in between the railway lines can pose to their life.

Another officer claimed that almost one dog gets killed under such circumstances in every two or three months.

The officers who had already tried their best to steer clear the railway lines from the canines says that the strays are impossible to stop as they come from one direction or the other to get caught up in such ill circumstances.

The dog is said to be doing completely fine and was uninjured in the incident. 

The bystander who filmed the incident said, 'Not sure what would have happened if a man would have come under the train in similar circumstances. The animal was small in size and the reason it is still alive.'
