Star Clippers introduces new themed cruises
Star Clippers is offering ten themed itineraries on board its three tall ships in 2019, during sailings in the Mediterranean, South Asia and Caribbean. Included among them are five sailings with yoga practitioners on board, others with a celebrity fitness instructor, famous fashion stylist, Italian chef and published author in Mediterranean history and archaeology.
Star Clipper’s yoga sailings enable guests to join sessions on deck early morning and at sunset, stretching and meditating beneath the billowing sails, with the sun warming the teak decks. Each practitioner is trained to guide participants of all levels in the benefits of yoga and meditation.
Former model and celebrity personal trainer Joel Harper, whose clients include Olympic medallists, actors and musicians, will bring his custom workouts to guests on board Star Flyer’s sailing from St. Maarten on 23 March 2019..
Neapolitan chef, Armando Bisceglia, joins Royal Clipper’s round trip sailing from Rome on 7 September 2019. The Italian celebrity chef will be serving Italian cuisine when the ship drops anchor at Ponza, Palmarola, along the Amalfi coast, in Sicily, the volcanic island of Lipari, and while passing the volcano on the island of Stromboli.
Two archaeology-themed cruises, accompanied by historian and author Renata Scheiper, are scheduled for May 2019. Sailing from Athens around the Cyclades islands, the guest’s presentations will discuss history ancient Greece and the archaeology of the Mediterranean.
Celebrity stylist Samantha Brown joins Royal Clipper on 1 June 2019, for a sailing from Cannes. Her credits include over 1000 fashion shows, New York Fashion Week and some of the world’s top media, from Vogue to GQ, Harper’s and Glamour.
