Judge transferred from Karnataka HC to Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended to the Centre the transfer of Justice Raghvendra S Chauhan of the Karnataka high court to the Hyderabad HC.
Born on December 24, 1959 and graduated from Arcadia University, Glenside, PA (USA) in 1980, Justice Chauhan obtained his LL.B. Degree from Delhi University in 1983.
He enrolled as an advocate with the Rajasthan Bar Council on November 13, 1983 and practised at the Rajasthan high court from 1986 to June 2005 in areas like criminal law, constitutional law and service law. He was elevated as permanent judge on June 13, 2005 and took oath as judge of the Karnataka HC on March 10, 2015.
