Abetment to suicide: 3 get jail

Kurukshetra: A Kurukshetra court on Tuesday sentenced three, including two women, to 10 years in jail in an abetment to suicide case. Kurukshetra deputy district attorney Gopal Kumar said that the court has convicted Rajesh Kumar, Paramwati and Kanta Devi, residents of Badshami village, for the crime and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 each.
Award for PGIMS doctor

Rohtak: Dr Ram Chander Siwach, a senior professor and head of the department of orthopedics at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, has been conferred with Colonel Sangham Lal Memorial Oration Award for 2017-2018. The award function was held at Puduchery on October 27-28 and was hosted by National Academy of Medical Sciences. The title of the oration by Dr Siwach was “Anthropometric study of proximal femur geometry and its clinical application”.

BJP takes out march in Amritsar


Amritsar: Punjab BJP president Shwait Malik blamed the Congress government in the state for allegedly engaging in protecting party leaders who, he claimed, were responsible for the October 19 train accident in which 58 people lost their lives. While addressing a gathering during the ‘Jan Jagran Pad Yatra,’ Mallik alleged that Amritsar train disaster happened due to negligence of Congress organizer of the event.

The experts delved into various aspects of adoption and exploration of innovative methodologies in the field of plant science, finding economically relevant traits in crop species, deeper investigations into plant diversity, environment, and agriculture-related issues.
