UK house prices rise at slowest pace in over 5 years: Nationwide

Reuters  |  LONDON

(Reuters) - British house prices, which have risen more slowly since the 2016 vote, increased at their slowest pace in more than five years in October, according to data published on Thursday by Nationwide.

Compared with October 2017, prices rose by 1.6 percent, down from 2.0 percent in the previous month and below a median forecast of 1.9 percent in a poll of economists.

Prices were flat in monthly terms after 0.2 percent rise in September, Nationwide said.
