Who is Vasundhara Raje Scindia?

Currently, the chief minister of Rajathan, Vasundhara Raje has previously also served as the CM of the state from 2003 to 2008. She is the first female chief minister of Rajasthan.
Raje belongs to the Scindia royal family of Gwalior and represents the Jhalrapatan constituency of Rajasthan. A senior leader of the BJP, Raje has been elected as an MLA 4 times and has served as an MP six times. Raje, who has been elected thrice from the Jhalrapatan seat - in 2003, 2008 and 2013 - will again contest the upcoming assembly election from the same constituency in Jhalawar district.
The BJP is once again projecting her as the CM face in the state for the upcoming assembly elections even as there were rumours of party infighting. She has also received the “Women Together Award” from the UNO in 2007 for her efforts to assist women in self-empowerment.
