Priyadarsini Govind to perform Ramayana in Chennai

Priyadarsini GovindCHENNAI: Phoenix MarketCity in Velachery will host a dance performance by Priyadarsini Govind. The senior danseuse will perform her rendition of the Ramayana.
Priyadarsini specialised in 'abhinaya' under Padma Bhushan awardee Kalanidhi Narayanan from the age of nine. She has been giving recitals from the age of 16 and has performed in numerous sabhas and academies in India and abroad.
Priyadarsini is the recipient of Tamil Nadu government’s Kalaimamani award in 1998.
"We have made use of the expansive space of the mall by converting it into a versatile platform to give our patrons and customers an experience that will surely capture the cultural ethos of the season with a visually spectacular décor and other equally appealing activities," said Murugan Rajan, centre director, Phoenix MarketCity, Chennai.
The dance recital will start at 6pm on November 3.
