NDFB-S militant held in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR/GUWAHATI: An NDFB (S) cadre and four overground workers of the armed outfit were apprehended during joint operations by the Army and police in different parts of Kokrajhar, Chirang and Baksa districts during the last 48 hours.
The rebel, identified as Jayanta Narzary, was held at Bhawraguri village in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday. Police said that Narzary was in Myanmar and came to Kokrajhar last year. A .22 pistol, five rounds of .22 live ammunitions, a hand grenade, a mobile phone and a motorbike were recovered from his possession.
