The three-day regional-level science exhibition organised by the Directorate of School Education at the Jeevanandam Government Higher Secondary School at Karamanikuppam concluded on Wednesday.
Titled ‘Scientific Solutions to Challenges in Life’, the event had exhibits by students from primary to higher secondary levels, from both private and government schools. Over 380 models were put on display.
Creativity and ingenuity
According to a Directorate of School Education official, the models related to health and well-being, resource management and food security, agriculture and food, waste management and water resources protection, energy resources, disaster management, education technology, transport and communication, electronic and industrial protection. They reflected the children’s creativity and ingenuity.
Apart from honing their skills in making models, displaying them and explaining their functioning and utility, this also develops communication skills among students, he added.
Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy inaugurated the exhibition on Monday.
