Meeting held as part of Vigilance Awareness Week

In a bid to exchange information and coordinate for better implementation of welfare schemes, Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer S. Babu Rao held an interactive session with officials from various governmental departments, here on Wednesday.

The meeting, as part of the continuing Vigilance Awareness Week, had officials from health, mining, revenue, transport, irrigation, panchayat raj, roads and buildings departments.

Ground-level scenario

They evaluated the ground-level scenario and discussed measures to deal with issues, alongside deciding on sustained coordination among all departments. The week, which began on October 29, is aimed at making people, especially youngsters, aware of the functionings of the Vigilance and Enforcement Department and the work done by it, said Mr. Rao.

“We are conducting a series of competitions for students in government schools on this year's theme - 'Eradicate corruption, build a new India and new Andhra Pradesh for a better society', such as essay writing, elocution and debate. The week will conclude on November 3 with a valedictory session and a prize distribution ceremony,” he added.
