:Information technology (IT) services firm Tech Mahindra Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Hyderabad-BioNEST (bio-incubator nurturing entrepreneurship for scaling technologies).
The MoU would bring in high-motivation among young entrepreneurs and better translational outcome through information technology and artificial intelligence to the life science arena, a press release quoted the Vice-Chancellor of the university professor Appa Rao Podile as saying.
The life science arena includes biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and allied areas, the release said.
Under the pact, Tech Mahindra would help in providing all the technology support for the start-ups incubating in the varsity, thereby providing opportunity for joint go-to-market with the young entrepreneurs, it added.
"We have 65 faculty members, 400 PhD scholars and postgraduate doctors and 350 masters students engaged in teaching, research and extension activities in divergent areas of life sciences," the release quoted principal investigator of UoH-BioNEST professor P Reddanna as saying.
