The North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) has sealed 516 factories and warehouses in areas under its jurisdiction for violating the civic body norms, a senior official said Thursday.

A total of 516 factories and warehouses including 297 dealing with plastic material, rubber and chemicals were sealed last week, in Mundka, Kamruddin Nagar, Nilothi, Swarn Park, Tikari Kalan and Ghevra in the NDMC area for flouting the norms, he said.

Remaining 219 factories and warehouses were sealed in Shahabad Daulatpur, Prahaladpur and Puthkhurd for running in non-conforming areas, he added.
