Mumbai, a city with its own rich history of the underworld, is going to get some visitors from the Mexican cartel soon. Not the real guys of course, but the stars of Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico.  

Showrunner Eric Newman, along with lead stars Diego Luna and Michael Pena will visit Mumbai in November.

The Narcos franchise is wildly popular in India and is one of the most binge-watched shows.  The title was number one on the list of the most binge-watched Netflix shows in India last year!

The trailer of the fourth season is already getting rave reviews.

 This year, Netflix is all set to bring the stars of the world’s beloved show to India - showrunner Eric Newman and the lead actors of Narcos Mexico Diego Luna and Michael Pena will be in Mumbai this November and meeting with fans and filmmakers from India.

 The new season - Narcos Mexico is scheduled to premiere on the 16th of November and is likely to premiere at a Netflix fan event in Mumbai earlier that week.

Rogue One star Diego Luna plays Mexican drug lord Felix Gallardo. Michael Pena plays an undercover DEA agent Kiki Camarena. The new season will explore the origins of the modern drug war by going back to its roots, beginning at a time when the Mexican trafficking world was a loose and disorganized confederation of independent growers and dealers. The audience will witness the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s.

The only connection between previous seasons of the show and this one is José María Yazpik who played Amado Carrillo Fuentes in the last season. 

Alejandro Edda is playing Joaquin 'Chapo' Guzman ie El Chapo in his earlier days. This means, that the story of Narcos: Mexico can take the route to show the rise of the infamous drug lord.

Witness the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the 1980s as Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) takes the helm, unifying traffickers in order to build an empire. When DEA agent Kiki Camarena (Michael Peña) moves his wife and young son from California to Guadalajara to take on a new post, he quickly learns that his assignment will be more challenging than he ever could have imagined.

As Kiki garners intelligence on Félix and becomes more entangled in his mission, a tragic chain of events unfold, affecting the drug trade and the war against it for years to come.
