Cabinet approves India-S. Korea agreement on tourism

The on Thursday approved an agreement between and for strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism.

The meeting chaired by approved the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two nations with an objective to expand bilateral cooperation in tourism by increasing the exchange of information and data related to the sector.

The objectives of the deal include encouraging cooperation between tourism stakeholders including hotels and tour operators; investment in the tourism and hospitality sectors; participation in or exhibitions in each other's country and promoting safe, honourable and sustainable tourism.

With the signing of this bond, the two countries will exchange visits of tour operators, the media and the opinion makers for promotion of two-way tourism.

They will also exchange experiences in the areas of promotion, marketing destination development and management.
