Chennai police arrest man for making hoax bomb call

CHENNAI: The Chennai police have arrested a 24-year-old man or making a hoax call to them stating that two bombs had been planted in Delhi-bound Tamil Nadu Express train.
Imran Khan, a native of Uttar Pradesh who was staying in a lodge at Periamet here, called the police control room on Tuesday evening stating that he had overheard two Hindi-speaking people travelling in an MRTS train saying that bombs had been planted in two coaches of the Delhi-bound train. The train had already departed from Chennai.
Following the alert, a police team in Andhra Pradesh searched the train when it reached Guntur. After the searches, the team confirmed that it was a hoax call.
Later, the Chennai police traced the caller and arrested him.
