“Earlier there were geographical boundaries but today these boundaries have blurred. This is a collection designed for women with refined and evolved taste. It marries traditional and modern sensibilities that make a statement yet is very wearable.”

The source of inspiration for Sunita is her homeland, Rajasthan and the cultural contrasts between other regions. She said the collections challenge traditional styling of fine jewellery. “My picks for the festive season would be long chandelier earrings and it continues to be a favourite. Apart from shoulder duster earrings, reversible necklaces are also in trend this festive season. Reversible necklaces are so convenient because one can wear it one side in the daytime and wear it the other side for another event at night. Our chokers too are beautiful and unique because I make sure they are not stiff.”

The designer will display her work in Chennai after a gap of eight years.“I have so much love for the city and its people who even come all the way to Jaipur for jewellery,” she said. “This time I decided to present them an elegant collection so that they can come, enjoy and appreciate these pieces of art. I’d like to appreciate the hard work that has been put into each piece of jewellery.”
