Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has started receiving another FOTA update. New updates have also been rolled out for Zenfone 5Z and Zenfone Lite (L1).
Asus has confirmed the roll out of firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates for the Zenfone 5Z, Zenfone Max Pro M1, as well as the recently launched Zenfone Lite (L1). The phones will receive the Android October security patch alongside specific bug fixes and performance enhancements with the update. The FOTA update will be rolled out in phases, the Taiwanese company has said in a press statement.
Asus Zenfone 5Z FOTA version 80.30.96.221 includes improved camera functions such as optimised AI scene detection. Other modifications include noise reduction and white balance, besides the brightness settings in the camera’s auto and HDR mode. Meanwhile, FOTA version OPM1.WW_Phone-15.2016.1810.334-20181019 for Zenfone Max Pro M1, that was launched in April this year, brings with it improved power optimisation settings, and an optimised waking system.

The waking system will let Max Pro M1 users to activate the display through a double tap, or a wipe up on the screen. The other update (FOTA version WW_Phone-15.07.1810.18-20181019) rolled out for the budget-friendly Zenfone Lite (L1) includes optimised system stability. Asus users can manually check for the updates as well by going to Settings > System > System updates.
In terms of specifications, Zenfone Lite L1 features a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display, with a screen aspect ratio of 18:9. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by the Snapdragon 430 processor. Zenfone Lite L1 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. Zenfone Lite (L1) has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, and a 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture, both having LED flash. Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is available at an introductory price of Rs 5,999.
