Two innocent persons were severely injured following a family dispute. What’s more upsetting is that the victims were not even party to the brawl. Fifteen-year-old Pratham and his mom Sunita Shukla were stabbed and seriously injured by a relative in Lasudia police station area on Tuesday evening. The accused, brother-in-law of Sunita, attacked her son and her when she was preparing tea. The police said Ashutosh Shukla, a guard at Central Mall, attacked and injured the victims, son and wife of Deepak Sharma, at their place.
WHAT IS THE DISPUTE?
The accused Ashutosh Shukla, a resident of Ujjain, is Deepak’s brother-on-law. Ashuosh’s wife had sought her brother Deepak’s help following a dispute with her husband. She wanted a divorce. Deepak and Ashutosh met in the Family Court where Ashutosh turned down his wife’s divorce plea. Instead, an enraged Ashutosh threatened to kill 4-year-old son. Later, Deepak and his sister rushed to Ujjain to save the little child from Ahutosh’s wrath.
Surprisingly, Ashutosh didn’t go back to Ujjain but reached Deepak’s place when he (Deepak) was in Ujjain. The accused attacked Pratham and Sunita when she tried to pacify him. Severely injured Pratham was admitted to ICU of CHL Hospital while Sunita was discharged after primary treatment.
WHAT NEXT?
After fleeing the scene, accused Ashutosh reached Ujjain and surrendered. However, city police claimed that they have arrested the accused from Indore.
