The Police arrested a man from Kunzer area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday for allegedly raping his daughter.
A police spokesperson, in an official statement on, said that they received a written complaint from the victim's brother stating that his sister had allegedly been raped by his father.
Subsequently, a case under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code was registered and the man was arrested on October 29.
The police further said that during the course of the investigation, statements of the victim and other witnesses under relevant provisions of the law were recorded.
Further probe in the matter is underway.
