The Aam Aadmi Party has announced five Lok Sabha candidates in Punjab for the 2019 general elections. Sitting MLAs Bhagwat Mann and Sadhu Singh will contest from their respective constituencies, Sangrur and Faridkot. The party has fielded three new candidates. Dr Ravjot Singh will contest from Hoshiarpur, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from Amritsar and Narinder Singh Shergil will contest from the Anandpur Sahib seat.

Mann had resigned as party’s Punjab president in August this year after Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal issued an unconditional apology to SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia for making “unfounded” allegations against him during the run-up to the Punjab assembly polls last year.
