Pune: Officials of the Labour Department and Forum of IT Employees (FITE) helped seven employees get their full and final settlement (FNF), which was allegedly delayed by a Baner-based IT company.
A complaint regarding this was filed by the ex-employees of the company at the Labour Department and these employees also approached FITE.
Speaking about the case, Pavanjit Mane, President of FITE said, “Companies think that employees who are leaving the organisation may forget about FNF or stop chasing the settlement. We would like to appeal that employees should raise their complaints with the Labour Department in case they are facing issues. FITE is always ready to support employees in such cases,” added Mane.
Speaking about the case, Assistant Labour Commissioner Nikhil Walke said the employees had approached the department a few months back. “We had called for a meeting with the company officials and the case was sorted out. After explaining the legalities the company agreed to pay the FNF to the employees.” said Walke.
Speaking about the reasons for withholding the FNF, Walke said that many times employers have some issues with behaviour of their employees and so they chose to withhold their FNF. “Sometimes the company can be in financial trouble forcing them to delay the FNF,” he added.
