Days after the murder case of a Class II student of a private school in Gurgaon was transferred back to the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), it Tuesday rejected the bail application filed by the lawyers of the teenager accused of the crime.

“The bail application had been filed on October 26, and was listed for final arguments today… The board has dismissed the bail plea,” said Sushil Tekriwal, counsel for the victim’s father.

“The board of Punjab and Haryana High Court had also directed that a fresh assessment be done by the JJB to determine whether the accused should be tried as an adult or not. The process will begin from November 3, and the board will be constituting a medical assessment board,” he added.
