LUCKNOW: Even 24 hours after the gruesome murder of gas agency cashier in Vibhutikhand the cops are clueless. The cops have only been able to get a footage on the basis of which they contemplate the bike-borne assailants to have crossed to neighboring Barabanki district.

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the deceased Shyam Singh and also given 24-hour ultimatum to the district police to solve the case.

Shyam Singh (45) was shot dead in broad daylight by two masked bike-borne assailants and also looted with Rs 10 lakh, in front of Star House of Bank of India branch in Vibhutikhand on Monday. Singh used to work in Bihari Gas Agency which was located barely 500 meters from the spot of the crime.

The district police have made 12 teams to work upon the case while a unit of Special Task Force (STF) is also keeping eyes on the case.

SSP Lucknow Kalanidhi Naithani said that we are working upon the case, while we have got some specific leads relating to the incident but it would be too early to share.
