CHENNAI: Two final year students from National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, emerged winners at Zoho’s CliqTrix challenge, an app-building contest for Zoho's business communication software Cliq, held in Chennai on Monday.

The winning product, FAQ Bot, is a knowledge exchange system developed by students Pradeep Kumar and Manoj Sabareesh M, and is entirely built on the Zoho Cliq platform and powered by Cliq's platform storage.

College students from across India participated in the competition. Over a period of three months, they built applications on Cliq's platform using Zoho's own online scripting language Deluge. They were provided on-campus and online training by the Zoho Cliq team.

"CliqTrix is an opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience of developing applications on a cloud software platform. While still in college, they can get exposure to software that power successful enterprises," Mani Vembu, COO, Zoho Corp, said in a statement.
